Welcome

Our club’s aim is to foster an interest in and the enjoyment of photography.  We do this through competitions, workshops, lectures, outings and meetings with other camera clubs.

Our members are all keen amateur photographers. Their photographic interests may vary – landscape, portraiture, sporting, abstract, etc.,  but they all share a passion for capturing great images, improving their skills and techniques and sharing their knowledge and experiences with other members.  Some examples of our members’ recent photos appear on this page.

HHCC – Event Changes!

Hi Members,

Given the current COVID situation in NSW the difficult decision has been taken to change the agenda for our January and February activities:

New Year Picnic at Crosslands Park. This event is no longer a formal club event and has been removed from the online event calendar. However, if members would still like to attend Crosslands on the 22nd they are free to do this with others should they so wish. However, we will not be coordinating centrally or sending out further communications about this.

Feb 1st Workshop and Feb 15th Competition. Both of these events will now be held via Zoom NOT at the community hall. Details of the online event will be sent closer to the dates.

We’ll be actively monitoring the situation over the next month and advise where any other changes are needed.

Thanks.

HHCC – Phil Ramsden

I’m very sad to inform everyone that Phil Ramsden passed away a few weeks ago. He had pancreatic cancer.

A very knowledgeable man and a wonderful judge who had a real fondness for our club. He told me a few months ago how much he loved the people of HHCC and sent his regards to all.

Regards,

Jonathan

HHCC – Illawarra Club Weekend

Hi Everyone,

The club weekend down to the Illawarra was enjoyed by all. The weather was a bit damp to say the least but that certainly didn’t dampen the spirits and everyone managed to get to a number of locations to take photos, including the Airshow.

We included a few photos below of the outing. Looking forward to more in 2022!

Movember

G’day all,

As mentioned at last weeks competition night, two of our club members are raising money for Movember. Tom and Tim both work at the same place. One of the other blokes who works there has a father who suffered from prostate cancer. The good news is that the dad is a lot better. Tom and Tim’s workmate thought that it would be a good to ask the other blokes at work to grow a mo and raise money. Tom, who is a top bloke, and Tim, a fine outstanding gentleman, jumped at the idea and so did the other chaps – especially those who have pre-existing mos.

If you can spare a few dollars for a good cause we’d appreciate a contribution to our Movember team. Just click on either of the links below. You don’t need to donate to both of us as a donation to either one goes towards Team Wideview – our Movember work crew.

Tom and Tim
