Welcome

Our club’s aim is to foster an interest in and the enjoyment of photography.  We do this through competitions, workshops, lectures, outings and meetings with other camera clubs.

Our members are all keen amateur photographers. Their photographic interests may vary – landscape, portraiture, sporting, abstract, etc.,  but they all share a passion for capturing great images, improving their skills and techniques and sharing their knowledge and experiences with other members.  Some examples of our members’ recent photos appear on this page.

IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ

Hi everyone,

We urgently need Club members to help run our exhibition at the Berowra Fauna Fair at the Berowra Community Centre on Sunday, 17 March.

This is a great opportunity for us to promote the Club and what we do – and maybe get some more members!

For details of the Fair see www.friendsberowravalley.org.au/berowra-fauna-fair-2024/.

What’s involved? Just presenting a friendly face and answering simple questions about the Club. Handouts with details about the club (meetings, activities, etc.) and membership forms will be available at our stand.

PLEASE – if you can staff the exhibit for say 1½ hours, contact me (bob.sendt@gmail.com) as soon as possible. We particularly need people between 11.00am and 2.30pm.

Club Photographic Display and Promotional Opportunity

Hi everyone!

Our Club has been offered a fantastic opportunity to show off its members’ photographic skills and promote what we as a Club can offer. But we need members to contribute!

The Friends of Berowra Valley is holding a Fauna Fair at the Berowra Community Centre auditorium on Sunday, 17 March.  Our Club has been asked to stage an exhibition of nature images and the entire centre of the auditorium is being made available to us.  We envisage around 10-12 stands of images so we need of lots of photos!

Elaine will be co-ordinating the selection of images and we’re asking all members to think about what images they can offer.  Images do not need to be restricted to fauna but should be nature-oriented (ie no pets or domesticated animals, no cultivated plants, landscapes are fine.  Preference will be given to images from Australia.

Please bring any suitable images (at least A4 or 8″x12″ and mounted) to our next meeting (Tuesday, 20 February).  If you’re not sure that your images are suitable, you could email a resized digital version (no more than 2Mb) to Elaine (elaine.holliday@ymail.com) as soon as possible.

Bob will be co-ordinating our exhibition on the day so he will need members to help transport and set up the display (from 9:00am), staff it until 3:00pm and take it down.  If you can volunteer 2 hours or so on the day, please contact him on bob.sendt@gmail.com).
