HHCC – External Competitions

Hi Members,

We’ve added a new page to the Members Home page! This is where details about external competitions will be published. Look for the “External Competitions – 2019” button. There are a lot of competitions out there (beyond the great ones we have in the club) and we encourage all of you to have a go at some of these. Some are annual competitions.

HHCC – Photo Rally Details

Hi All,

It was a great day out yesterday for our Photo Rally outing. This year the location is Newtown. I’ll be posting some photos shortly on our outings page so keep looking on the site.

For those who couldn’t come along the brief for the rally and location boundary is attached below. The cut off for the Photo Rally competition is 30th June. The competition has been setup so you have the next few weeks to upload your images. Remember, it is a maximum of 5 images – one for each subject in the brief. Each digital image is titled so just select each one to upload the image you want for that subject.

HHCC – Photo Rally 2019

Just a quick reminder that our annual PHOTO RALLY for 2019 is this Saturday!!

Join us for our BIGGEST social event of the year. A fun filled day out with our annual Photo Rally competition on Saturday 15th June, you won’t want to miss it. The flyer for this event is available here.

We choose a secret location which will be emailed to you the night before on 14th. On arrival to the location, you will be handed a brief with (5) subjects to shoot. If you wish to enter the competition, you can upload your favourite image (1 per subject) on our website. Competition closes midnight 30th June 2019.The competition is for members only; however you are more than welcome to invite family and friends to participate on the day.
We will meet at the set location at 11:15am.

Once the brief has been handed out, you can head off and shoot the brief in your own time. We come together again at 4:30pm for a social bite to eat and a well earned beverage. 

This year you will have two weeks to shoot the Rally with entries needing to be uploaded on our website by midnight 30th June 2019.

If you wish to attend our Photo Rally on 15th, please contact Sonia on 0425219987 or email at sonia.conn@gmail.com to receive the location email the night before.

For those that can’t attend on the 15th, the location and brief will be emailed the evening of 15th.

We look forward to sharing a great day out with you!

HHCC – New Website Functionality

Hi All,

There have been a few functional updates to the website which I wanted to tell you about and which were just announced.

Image Selection for Competitions:

The main news is the introduction of the Image Viewing Page for individuals and the capability to select an existing image for entry.  This allows you to select an image you have already uploaded from a previous competition that you would like to re-enter. The capability to select an existing image is now built into the entry form.  It is accessed from the entry form using the green button shown below.  

This button takes you to the Image Viewing page with clear indication that it is in “selection  mode”. Selecting a thumbnail will show the Commenting Page and has a red button to select that image.

Selecting the image takes you back to the entry form and the selected entry looks the same as if it just uploaded the entry.  

Remember: You can only re-enter an image which has not previously received an award. The only exception to this is the “Photo of the Year” competition.  An option will be provided to use with Image of the Year competitions so that only previously uploaded images can be entered.

Photo Comments Page:
It is now possible to respond to comments that other members have left for a photo. When you receive an email for a comment which has been left for an image there is now a link included in the email to get back to the page to allow you to respond.
