Welcome

Our club’s aim is to foster an interest in and the enjoyment of photography.  We do this through competitions, workshops, lectures, outings and meetings with other camera clubs.

Our members are all keen amateur photographers. Their photographic interests may vary – landscape, portraiture, sporting, abstract, etc.,  but they all share a passion for capturing great images, improving their skills and techniques and sharing their knowledge and experiences with other members.  Some examples of our members’ recent photos appear on this page.

Dear Members,

Please join us from 8pm on Tuesday 30th August to view a wonderful display of images provided by our portfolio group as they exhibit their cohesive collection of work for you to enjoy.

Each member has chosen their subject and with the help and support of the group over the past 18 months or so, we are excited to finally be able to share our portfolios with you.

The exhibition is open to everyone so please feel free to bring family and friends along on the night. A light supper will be available.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Warmest Regards

White Water Stadium Outing Cancelled and September Competition Changed

We don’t seem to be having much luck with outings this year. Unfortunately, the venue is closed for maintenance.

We are looking to reschedule this for early next year.

As a result, we are changing our September competition from Sports Photography to Open as we were looking at using the outing for practising our sport photography.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

Please Wear a Mask Tonight

G’day all,

With the recent spike in Covid cases, we would like all attendees tonight to wear a mask. We have a number of members who fall into a high risk category if they should come in contact with Covid. We would like to keep our members safe.

Hand sanitizer and masks will be available at the door if you forget.

HHCC – Marion Anstis!

STOP PRESS!!

We wish to congratulate our member Marion Anstis. Marion has recently been acknowledged for her scientific research, particularly into four species of land frogs from Western Australia who have recently been identified as a new Genus and are now officially named after her.

After decades of studying the life cycle of frogs and releasing her book “Tadpoles & Frogs of Australia“, researchers have classified these frogs into the distinct biological group Anstisia

To read more about Marions amazing story click on the link provided. Alternatively, you can watch Marions interview on the ABC breakfast show via (iview). Fast forward to approx 1hr 48mins in. It’s well worth the viewing.

We are so incredibly proud of you Marion and all you have accomplished in your research so far!! We look forward to hearing more about your achievements in the future.
