Welcome

Our club’s aim is to foster an interest in and the enjoyment of photography.  We do this through competitions, workshops, lectures, outings and meetings with other camera clubs.

Our members are all keen amateur photographers. Their photographic interests may vary – landscape, portraiture, sporting, abstract, etc.,  but they all share a passion for capturing great images, improving their skills and techniques and sharing their knowledge and experiences with other members.  Some examples of our members’ recent photos appear on this page.

Webinar with Robyn Moon

Dear Members,
In conjunction with Chimu travel Robyn Moon is hosting a webinar on the Sub- Antarctic Islands on Wednesday 20th March. This is a part of the world very rich in photographic opportunities but not many have yet accessed. Robyn will be travelling there later this year as the Special Guest Photographer onboard and thought the Camera Club community would enjoy exploring the richness of this wilderness through images and stories from those who have been.

If this is of interest to you, please read on and register via the link below (This is not a club event)

Everybody’s heard about Antarctica but have you heard about the Subantarctic islands?Have you ever wondered what Macquarie Island, Campbell Island, Auckland Island or The Snares is like ?Generally known as the SubAntarctic islands, they offer extraordinary Flora and Fauna hence why they are known as the Galapagos of the Southern Ocean.Join Robin Moon and Chimu Adventures for some Zoom armchair travel, with lots of images, video and chat with experts in the region. If you are interested in travelling to this region we will be talking about the cruise with Heritage Expeditions departing Hobart on November 22nd for 14 days.

IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ

Hi everyone,

We urgently need Club members to help run our exhibition at the Berowra Fauna Fair at the Berowra Community Centre on Sunday, 17 March.

This is a great opportunity for us to promote the Club and what we do – and maybe get some more members!

For details of the Fair see www.friendsberowravalley.org.au/berowra-fauna-fair-2024/.

What’s involved? Just presenting a friendly face and answering simple questions about the Club. Handouts with details about the club (meetings, activities, etc.) and membership forms will be available at our stand.

PLEASE – if you can staff the exhibit for say 1½ hours, contact me (bob.sendt@gmail.com) as soon as possible. We particularly need people between 11.00am and 2.30pm.
